Codiroli bookends Eugene's comeback win.

EVERETT, Wash. - Jason Codiroli started Sunday's game with a home run. The Ems trailed by as many as four runs and were down 8-7 entering the ninth inning, but Kevin Winn drove in Kyle Loretelli to tie the score before Codiroli's game winner.

Codiroli had three hits, including a leadoff homer, and drove in three runs.

Everett responded to Codiroli's homer by scoring five runs in the first inning off Ems starter Jerry Sullivan, highlighted by a two-run triple by Juan Fuentes.

Nathan Freiman hit a two-run homer in the third inning to pull the Ems within 5-3, but Matthew Cerione answered with a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth to hike Everett's lead to 7-3.

But the Ems came back to tie the game in the sixth. Loretelli scored on an error by Everett shortstop Ben Billingsley and Edinson Rincon followed with a two-run double, and Eugene tied the score when Vincent Belnome scored on a fielder's choice.

Loretelli had four hits for the Ems. David Erickson (3-4), who pitched two innings of scoreless relief, earned the win.
