UCR Solutions and Codigent have combined their staffs and product lines to form Codigent Solutions Group, Inc., according to Tim Unger, president and chief executive officer of the new company.

Codigent Solutions Group, Unger said, is a single-source supplier of information technology. The company offers e-business solutions, including application development and Website design, hosting and support, for a roster of clients across the United States through two technical offices and five support locations.

"Our goal is to be the one call that companies make when they first formulate a project or if they encounter difficulties during its execution," Unger said. "We can manage or execute any size project from inception to implementation."

Unger founded UCR Solutions in 1998 and Codigent earlier in 2000. While UCR Solutions primarily focused on developing and supporting a roster of software applications designed for a narrow segment of the health care market, Codigent was founded to develop and implement e-business strategies for companies with an Internet presence - or seeking one.

The two companies have been folded into the larger entity as divisions - Codigent Healthcare Solutions and Codigent eBusiness Solutions. Joining forces, Unger said, makes each firm stronger and lays the groundwork for expansion.

"The synergies between UCR Solutions and Codigent almost demanded that we merge the two groups," Unger said. "Each complements the other, and together we can offer a more complete catalog to current and potential clients."

By combining product lines, Codigent Solutions Group can offer its ebusiness solutions to hospitals and healthcare facilities - organizations it once considered only for its line of healthcare products and services - as well as general industry.

UCR Solutions is in the process of officially changing its name to Codigent Healthcare Solutions. Although its name will change, its clients will continue to benefit from an expanding lineup of offerings for healthcare information systems, including:
