Coded Communications retains McKee Securities as investment bankers.

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 1995--Coded Communications Corp. (NASDAQ Electronic Bulletin Board: CODE) Thursday announced that it had retained W.B. McKee Securities Inc. as the company's financial advisor.

McKee Securities, based in Phoenix, will assist Coded in securing both near-term and long-term capital and will advise Coded on the restructuring of its existing debt.

Jack Robinson, Coded's chief executive officer since March 1995, stated: "The company is pleased to have retained as its financial advisor the highly regarded McKee firm. McKee has a successful track record in financing and advising small high-technology companies needing growth capital."

Robinson noted that additional capital would be used primarily to finance the company's current backlog of orders and future working capital required. Coded announced earlier that it had recorded its first-ever operating profit, before interest and income taxes, of $23,000 for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 1995. In the comparable period of 1994, the company reported a loss before interest and income taxes of $2,677,000.

Jan Koontz, McKee Securities' vice president of investment banking, commented: "McKee's involvement will be two-fold. First, McKee will provide Coded access to capital sources to support Coded's customer contracts and bid opportunities and, second, provide access to capital sources for the long-term growth of Coded."

He added: "We are excited about the opportunity to work with Coded. The company has a strong market position in a high-growth wireless data market niche, with management that has demonstrated resolve in restructuring the business for profitability."

With headquarters in Carlsbad, Coded Communications is a leader in providing wireless data and aerospace telemetry solutions to public safety, government entities and commercial customers worldwide.
