French software house Codasystem announced today the release of Shoot&Proof for the iPhone, now available through the Apple App Store.

The company said that the application allows users to record a visual image in a manner that is acceptable in evidence in a court case or other legal circumstances, such as evidence of damage in insurance cases.

Codasystem meets all the legal requirements of both American and European standards concerning certification, electronic signature, digital archiving, confidentiality, network security and timestamping. It has been audited and certified to meet ISO (1) See ISO speed.

The initial download comes with credit for two certified images and additional packs can be downloaded. The announcement did not give any details of the cost of purchasing additional packs.
