Cobra is working around the clock to meet demand for King Cobra Ti titanium.

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 8, 1996--Cobra Golf Inc. Monday announced that as a result of product demand exceeding capacity, Cobra's in-house titanium titanium (tītā`nēəm, tĭ–) [from Titan], metallic chemical element; symbol Ti; at. no. 22; at. wt. 47.88; m.p. 1,675°C;; b.p. 3,260°C;; sp. gr. 4.54 at 20°C;; valence +2, +3, or +4.  finishing department has added 75 new employees and is working around the clock.

Three shifts are finishing the King Cobra Ti titanium heads during the morning, afternoon and evening hours, and all shifts are working six days a week.

``Our commitment is to bring value and high quality to our customers, so we have brought the titanium finishing in-house,'' said Mark McClure, president and chief executive officer of Cobra Golf.

``Titanium finishing is one of the most costly and time-consuming steps of the titanium club production process. By controlling this procedure, we are able to pass on significant savings, as well as gear up production as needed as needed prn. See prn order. .''

This commitment to value is not a new concept for Cobra Golf. Cobra's wholly owned graphite shaft facility, West Coast Composites, has provided state-of-the-art graphite shafts at a competitive price to the consumer for more than five years.

Now, consumers have seen this value set a new standard in the golf industry, as many of the other manufacturers followed Cobra's example by reducing their titanium wood prices immediately after the King Cobra Ti was introduced in January 1996.

Cobra has invested well over $1.3 million into titanium finishing machinery. When the second phase of expansion is completed, Cobra Golf's titanium finishing facility will occupy 60,000 square feet.

Although this endeavor created an early bottleneck A lessening of throughput. It often refers to networks that are overloaded, which is caused by the inability of the hardware and transmission lines to support the traffic. It can also refer to a mismatch inside the computer where slower-speed peripheral buses and devices prevent the CPU  for spring deliveries, Cobra's commitment is paying off as all driver orders for the period March through June will be filled in the next few weeks. In addition, secondary suppliers have been added to help finish heads and expedite delivery.
