) announced today that members of its senior management team are scheduled to appear at the Baird Growth Stock Conference in Chicago, Ill. on May 14, 2003. Cobalt Corporation Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stephen Bablitch will discuss company and industry developments. Cobalt Chief Financial Officer Gail Hanson will also be in attendance.

Bablitch's presentation is expected to begin at 3:45 p.m. Investors, analysts and the general public are invited to listen to the audio portion of the presentation via the Cobalt Corporation web site.
