Hunger passed away on June 9, 2005, in Germany at the age of 82. Hunger became an active member of TAPPI TAPPI Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry in 1960. He was named a TAPPI Fellow in 1975. Hunger was active in the Coating and Graphic Arts graphic arts: see aquatint; drawing; drypoint; engraving; etching; illustration; linoleum block printing; lithography; mezzotint; niello; pastel; poster; silk-screen printing; silhouette; silverpoint; sketch; stencil; woodcut and wood engraving. Alexander Mitscherlich (b. 28 May, 1836 in Berlin, d. 31 May, 1918 in Oberstdorf) was a German chemist. Medal of Zellcheming. He was research director for Feldmuhle A.G. in Dusseldorf until his retirement in 1985. Hunger holds patents on various aspects of paper coating and finishing, is the author of several books and book chapters, and contributed articles to professional journals. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] |
