Robert L. Kearney is manager of market development for Western Polymer Corp. in Moses Lake, Washington Moses Lake is a city in Grant County, Washington, United States. The population was 16,000+ at the 2007 census. A major attraction of Moses Lake are the sand dunes, mud flats(open seasonal, Jul. 1st to Oct. 1st) and water sports. . Kearney joined TAPPI TAPPI Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry  and became an active member in 1982. He served as conference chair of the first joint TAPPI Papermakers and Coating Conference in 1998.

In addition to his division leadership roles, Kearney has served on the Coating and Graphic Arts graphic arts: see aquatint; drawing; drypoint; engraving; etching; illustration; linoleum block printing; lithography; mezzotint; niello; pastel; poster; silk-screen printing; silhouette; silverpoint; sketch; stencil; woodcut and wood engraving.  Division Technical Program Committee since 1992 and served as Technical Program Committee Chairman in 1994-'95.

Kearney has also been an active in the educational programs of the Coating and Graphic Arts Division. An expert on starch starch, white, odorless, tasteless, carbohydrate powder. It plays a vital role in the biochemistry of both plants and animals and has important commercial uses.  binders, Kearney co-edited the Starch and Starch Products in Coating monograph published by TAPPI PRESS. Kearney is author or co-author of 15 technical papers published in leading industry publications and conference proceedings.
