Coated tape. (Supplier's Corner).


Adchem Corporation, a manufacturer of adhesive tape systems, has developed a 243PE double-coated tape, specifically designed for splicing splicing /splic·ing/ (spli´sing)
1. the attachment of individual DNA molecules to each other, as in the production of chimeric genes.

 polyolefine film. The tape features a 4mm polyethylene polyethylene (pŏl'ēĕth`əlēn), widely used plastic. It is a polymer of ethylene, CH2=CH2, having the formula (-CH2-CH2-)n  film support that conforms well to irregular surfaces and uses a high-tack adhesion to reliably pick up the splice, which is then completely recyclable re·cy·cle

. The polyethylene film is coated on the exposed side with a synthetic rubber synthetic rubber: see rubber.  adhesive and coated on the liner side with a rubber-based adhesive.
