and remove metal with fast cut rates, In testing, the disc lasted 30-70% longer than other ceramic fiber discs.

The disc is made with seeded gel ceramic grain and incorporates an extra resin resin, any of a class of amorphous solids or semisolids. Resins are found in nature and are chiefly of vegetable origin. They are typically light yellow to dark brown in color; tasteless; odorless or faintly aromatic; translucent or transparent; brittle, fracturing  layer to improve surface finish. Carborundum (silicon carbide) and alumina (aluminum oxide) are important synthetically produced abrasives.  grain generates higher initial cut rates and a higher level of total material removal throughout the disc's operating life. It is available in 4.5 x 0.875, 5 x 0.875, 7 x 0.875 and 9.125 x 0.875-in. sizes in grit sizes of 24, 36, 50, 60, 80, 100 and 120.
