Coastline Micro Announces New Tigers Series 64-bit 2U Server Featuring the Intel Xeon Processor with 800 MHz System Bus; Innovative Technology for Dual-Processor Servers.

IRVINE, Calif. -- Today's businesses rely on their servers to do more and work harder than ever before. Coastline Micro servers built with the Intel(R) Xeon(TM) processor offer proven dependability, outstanding performance, and represent a wise investment in your company's ever-expanding technology needs. "This processor also features innovations such as Hyper-Threading Technology and Intel(R) Extended Memory 64 Technology," said Samuel Sanchez, VP of marketing, "which offers compatibility with today's vast ecosystem of IA-32 software applications, increased system memory addressability, and offers investment protection for the future evolutionary transition to 64-bit-enabled applications."

The Intel(R) Server Board SE7520JR2, included in the Coastline Micro Tiger Series server, provides the performance, dependability, and manageability essential for enterprises running database, datacenter, and other business-critical applications in a high-density environment. For performance, the Server Board SE7520JR2 is designed for dual Intel(R) Xeon processors with an 800 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  system bus, support for the next-generation PCI Express A high-speed peripheral interconnect from Intel introduced in 2002. Note that although sometimes abbreviated "PCX," PCI Express is not the same as "PCI-X" (see PCI-SIG and PCI-X for comparison). As a result of the confusion, "PCI-E" or "PCIe" is the accepted abbreviation.  I/O (Input/Output) The transfer of data between the CPU and a peripheral device. The Coastline Micro Tiger Series Intel(R) Server Chassis SR2400 provides a flexible and serviceable 2U rack-optimized solution for applications requiring exceptional performance and storage capabilities. The Server Chassis SR2400 supports dual Intel(R) Xeon(TM) processors and I/O risers for PCI-X (PCI eXtended) An enhanced PCI bus technology originally developed by IBM, HP and Compaq that is backward compatible with existing PCI cards. PCI and 32-bit PCI-X slots are physically the same, and PCI cards can plug into PCI-X slots.  and the next-generation PCI Express I/O interconnect technologies. In addition, hot-swap redundant power and disk drives, redundant cooling, and built-in Intel(R) Server Management boost reliability and simplify administration and servicing in space-constrained environments.
