Coastcom announces the immediate availability of SNMP network management support for their flagship D I MUX III multiplexers.


ALAMEDA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 1, 1995--Coastcom, a proven supplier of telecommunications equipment for connecting voice, data and video communications to private and public networks, has announced the availability of native SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) A widely used network monitoring and control protocol. Data are passed from SNMP agents, which are hardware and/or software processes reporting activity in each network device (hub, router, bridge, etc.  network management support running in a RISC-based Multiplexer Control Unit (MCU (1) (MicroController Unit) A computer on a single chip. Multiple network management systems are no longer necessary due to the use of Industry Standard SNMP software.

Users will be provided with significant cost savings in these ways:
