Coalition America, Inc. Closes Acquisition of National Preferred Provider Network.

ATLANTA -- Coalition America, Inc. (CAI) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of National Preferred Provider Network and affiliated entities including Plan Vista Corporation, Medical Resource, LLC and National Provider Network, Inc., all of which were formerly subsidiaries of Proxymed, Inc.

"The combination of CAI and NPPN positions the combined entity to deliver enhanced savings to healthcare payors, including self insured employers, labor organizations, health insurance carriers and third party administrators. CAI will be able to offer the market immediate access to a combined total of approximately 300,000 direct provider contracts. Additionally, CAI is able to offer its clients an array of cost containment products, including highly effective bill negotiation services and its proprietary provider reimbursement fee schedule," said Sean Smith, chairman and chief executive officer.
