Storer's Shrewsbury Squirt 2 squad has been making plenty of noise in two local youth leagues, the American Youth Hockey League at Westboro's North Star Arena and the National Youth Hockey League out of Marlboro's New England New England, name applied to the region comprising six states of the NE United States—Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The region is thought to have been so named by Capt.  Sports Center.

"We've played 29 games and we've lost three games, but we are undefeated in league play," Storer said. "The skill level of these kids is well beyond their age, their hockey sense, their puck handling. These kids are very highly skilled and that's rare in kids 10 years old."

Daly leads the offensive attack with 32 goals and 21 assists, while Ward has tallied 27 goals and 20 assists. Twitchell (20 goals, 16 assists) and the younger Storer (15, 18) added to the team's offensive arsenal, while Gearty (12, 16), Sanchioni (15, 10) and Rutigliano (9, 15) all average more than a point per game. In all, nine Shrewsbury skaters have netted at least 11 goals this season, and eight have double-digit assists.
