CoTral is one of Italy's largest public transportation companies, covering the large region of Lazio. Throughout the region, CoTral has 52 offices; all of which are connected to the headquarters in Rome via a recently upgraded 10 Mbps HDSL connection. Despite the amount of bandwidth available, CoTral still experienced poor performance for Citrix and other networked applications. Compounding the problem were long delays in print jobs for bus schedules and other data critical for CoTral to service its customers.
