CoStar makes a fair case in unfair competition suit.


CoStar Group CoStar Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSGP) is a leading provider of information services to commercial real estate professionals in the United States and the United Kingdom. CoStar's suite of services offers customers access via the Internet to the most comprehensive database of , Inc. announced that the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California issued a ruling in CoStar's favor in the case brought by Andrew Blount, captioned Blount v. CoStar Realty Information, Inc. et al., Case No. SACV SACV Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. (Mumbai, India)  02-520-GLT.

According to the Court's ruling, there will be a judgment of non-liability as to CoStar and its CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Andrew Florance on Blount's claims of defamation and intentional interference with contractual relations Intentional interference with contractual relations is a common law tort that applies to an activity or activities that causes a damage to contractual relations between parties.  and prospective economic advantage. In addition, the Court found in CoStar's favor on Blount's unfair competition claim. As a result of the Court's recent ruling and the previous unanimous jury verdict, all claims in the lawsuit have now been decided in favor of CoStar and its CEO Florance.
