CoCom to Demonstrate Insyde Software's BIOS technologies at CeBIT'99

Insyde(tm) Software, a leading provider of enabling mobile software technologies for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), today announced a partnership with UK-based CoCom International Ltd. Under this agreement, CoCom will become an Insyde Software "iPartner" and the two companies will focus on providing a complete suite of design services, BIOS software technologies and training for Cyrix MediaGX(tm)-based special purpose computing devices.

These special-purpose devices range from dedicated Windows-based terminals, Internet access devices, pen-based computers, wearable PCs, set-top boxes and sub-notebook hand-held computers.

Insyde Software's iPartner Program coupled with CoCom's recently announced European MediaGX(tm) Design Centre (see CoCom press release dated 1st March 99) is a unique and comprehensive combination of "concept-to-production" technology and facilities. Utilizing Cocom's Design Centre, OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and ODMs (original design manufacturers) of Cyrix's MediaGX(tm) integrated CPU and chipset will be able to get "one stop shopping" for all aspects of their PC designs.

CoCom and Insyde Software will enjoy a strategic relationship that includes sharing of engineering resources, a technical point of contact, sharing of source code and development tools, combined training programs, and joint sales and marketing programs.
