1042, the Company's novel anti-convulsant agent for the treatment of epilepsy, showed that in these trials the drug was well-tolerated after single and multiple dosing. The data were presented today at the 49th Annual Conference of the American Epilepsy Society in Baltimore. CCD 1042 is currently in Phase II clinical trials in pediatric patients with various forms of epilepsy refractory to conventional therapies. In addition, preclinical research conducted at the National Institutes of Health and at CoCensys, and reported at the recent annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience For other uses, see SFN (disambiguation).

"In addition to the Phase I safety data which demonstrates CCD 1042 is well tolerated, the initial clinical experience with the compound in ongoing Phase II studies in a small number of pediatric patients with seizures refractory to conventional anticonvulsants Anticonvulsants
