Co-op Services Credit Union Creates Walsh College Scholarship to Honor Volunteer.

LIVONIA, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 2002

Co-op Services Credit Union recently announced the creation of a $4,000 scholarship for students attending the Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Walsh College of Accountancy and Business was started in 1922 by Mervyn B. Walsh. Originally, the college started out teaching the Pace accounting method in Detroit.

The college currently has 3 locations. The main campus is located in Troy, MI.

Walsh College was selected in order to recognize Richardson's chosen profession and his membership in the Walsh College Alumni Association An alumni association is an association of graduates (alumni) or, more broadly, of former students. In the United Kingdom and the United States, alumni of universities, colleges, schools (especially independent schools), fraternities, and sororities often form groups with alumni .

The Walsh College scholarship becomes one of six scholarships Co-op Services Credit Union awards each year to its members who are qualifying high school seniors. Since its scholarship program began in 1995, the credit union has awarded $56,000.
