Godfather of House, Frankie Knuckles Frankie Knuckles (born January 18, 1955, in New York) is a DJ, record producer and remix artist. He played an important role in developing house music (an electronic, disco-influenced dance music) as a Chicago DJ in the 1980s and he helped to popularize house music in the 1990s, (pictured), will be flying over especially and putting on an exclusive five-hour set in his only UK date this year. "I have a spiritual feeling every time I play," admits Frankie. "I think that's why I class myself as the most fortunate DJ because my audience knows exactly who I am musically and exactly what they're going to get." Joining him in the main room will be CJ Mackintosh who says that Frankie Knuckles playing at City Loud for the second birthday is a real honour.
