The plan includes a new 18-hole championship course designed by award winning golf course architect Tom McBroom Thomas McBroom, (born September 17, 1952) is an award-winning Canadian golf course architect. His work, while heavily centred in Canada, has grown to include golf courses in Europe and The Caribbean. He is the principal and founder of Thomas McBroom Associates Ltd. to take advantage of the spectacular natural attributes of the site. Also planned are a public hiking trail, new golf academy practice facility and range and a new centrally located full service Clubhouse facility to accommodate the increased golf capacity at Cherry Downs. Close cooperation with the regulatory authorities throughout the approval process has ensured a plan which is highly sensitive to the special environmental characteristics of the site.
