MIDFIELDER Gary Roberts played no part in Yeovil's preparations for the opening League One game against Tranmere after his club suspension for a breach of conduct was confirmed this week.

Roberts, 22, made 27 appearances for the Glovers in Coca-Cola League One last season, after arriving from Crewe Alexandra the previous summer.

But the player has been put on the transfer list and manager Terry Skiverton said he had been "sent away for disciplinary reasons."

Skiverton is keen to ensure Roberts' likely exit from Huish Park does not overshadow the visit of John Barnes' team.

"It is going to be a tough game," he said.
