Cloud County Community College Implements Jenzabar's Total Campus Management; Combined ERP and Web Portal Solution Deemed to be Best Fit with Institutional Needs.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Jenzabar, Inc., the pioneer of Total Campus Management (TCM) solutions for higher education, today announced that Cloud County Community College in Concordia Kansas is implementing its Jenzabar EX ERP system and Jenzabar's Internet Campus Solution. The College's selection of Jenzabar was the culmination of a detail-oriented process that began with an internally conducted needs analysis that involved every aspect of the College, from business to academic processes and objectives. Cloud County determined that a Microsoft SQL Server-based solution would best fit its IT environment and then embarked on a vendor selection process that was run by an interdepartmental committee representing the entire campus community. The committee then determined that Jenzabar's solution was the best choice for the College.

Among the reasons cited for choosing Jenzabar, the College's selection committee noted that what set Jenzabar apart from the competition was not only the company's product and its sales team, but also its detailed, descriptive, well thought out, training and implementation plan. Jenzabar provided Cloud County with detailed timelines for the implementation and training periods. It was also reassuring to the College that end users would be able to configure the software as opposed to someone from IT who had no idea how the department or office functioned. To have users go through training cycles and complete given task to achieve certification in their particular module was something that was very appealing to the College and not found in any other vendor's products. Another key component was Jenzabar's integration between College Board's PowerFAIDS and the Accounts Receivable module in Jenzabar EX. This integration was much more sophisticated then other vendors and seemed to the committee to be well thought out.

Jenzabar's integrated ERP system and Web portal will provide more than just a solution to Cloud County's out-of-date student information system; it is a campus-wide solution to some key administrative challenges. The College had several databases around campus in many different programs, and with the Jenzabar solution it will consolidate the information they contained. As each application/database was independently maintained, College staff were often required to make double and triple entries for some information, which made the College inefficient in its business practices. Additionally, Cloud County's existing Student Information System did not provide any Internet capabilities.
