 Superstation's RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT!(R) premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 19, with fascinating stories from around the world, including a clothing designer that creates lavish dresses made entirely of jewels glued directly to the woman's body and a man who accidentally shot himself in the head with a 3 1/2-inch nail while remodeling remodeling /re·mod·el·ing/ (re-mod´el-ing) reorganization or renovation of an old structure.

Other highlights from the Sept. 19 episode include the following:
-- Underground House: Able to survive almost any natural disaster, this
16,500-square-foot house and its grounds are located 30 feet underground. The
house is fully equipped with a swimming pool, hot tub and a computerized
lighting system that simulates day and night.

-- Waterfall Survivor: While base jumping off a cliff, Jeb Corlis got sucked
into the waterfall. Crashing into the rocks some 300 feet below, he broke his
back, ribs, left foot and right knee. Miraculously, Corlis has recovered and
continues to base jump.

-- Urban Mountain Climbers: A group of young men in Evry, France, move through
their town by jumping or climbing over anything that gets in their way,
including cars, bridges, and buildings. As part of a new sport called Yamakasi
(also the title of a recent French film on the same subject), participants must
train their bodies and minds to overcome anything that stands in their way.

-- World's Fastest Painter: Morris Katz can create a detailed and realistic
painting within minutes. Painting for many years, Katz visits schools to
educate children about the wonders of painting. In this segment, he will create
two paintings in a few minutes.
