Conformia Software Inc. ("Conformia") today announced that Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin, Calif., has chosen to implement its web-based Conformia WinePRO ("WinePRO") solution for the upcoming 2003 harvest.

WinePRO allows Clos LaChance's winemaking and production team to manage, monitor, and analyze every aspect of the winemaking process from crush through bottling. It has a powerful forward and reverse traceability for single click "bottle to vine" blend analysis and 702 form reporting. WinePRO's advanced tank maps provide winemakers with a near real-time overview into their wineries. The use of WinePRO is a key part of Clos LaChance's strategy to synergistically combine traditional winemaking techniques with technology advances in the vineyard and wine production management to produce stylistically consistent offerings.

Conformia has developed the web-based WinePRO in both an "enterprise" form for larger/enterprise wineries and a hosted version for small/medium wineries. Clos LaChance will implement the hosted version to take advantage of the low total cost of ownership associated with a web-browser based system.

Conformia's WinePRO system is an ideal match for Clos LaChance. Over the last several years, the winery has been recognized within the industry as a "high tech" winery. In 1999, Clos LaChance implemented an Intelligent Irrigation vineyard monitoring and maintenance system in its 80-acre Estate vineyard in San Martin. This program allowed the vineyard manager to analyze soil and weather conditions and run irrigation and fertigation cycles from a computer in his office.
