: CLX) today announced that Warwick Every-Burns, 48, has been promoted to the position of vice president-general manager of the Asia-Pacific division and elected an officer of the company. Based in Sydney, Australia, Every-Burns will have responsibility for the company's operations in Africa, Australia, China, Korea, New Zealand New Zealand (zē`lənd), island country (2005 est. pop. 4,035,000), 104,454 sq mi (270,534 sq km), in the S Pacific Ocean, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) SE of Australia. The capital is Wellington; the largest city and leading port is Auckland.  and the Philippines, along with its international trade business.

Every-Burns previously served as Clorox's vice-president and general manager for Africa, Australia, New Zealand and a portion of the company's business in Asia. Following 15 years with Unilever in Australia, Every-Burns joined NationalPak of Australia in 1990 as general manager of sales and marketing, rising to managing director of the company in 1995. Clorox acquired the NationalPak businesses as part of its 1999 merger with First Brands Corp. He undertook post-graduate studies in strategic marketing at the Darden School at the University of Virginia, completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University in 1996, and completed his accountancy at the Sydney Technical College The Sydney Technical College was a name used by Australia's oldest technical education institution.

It began as the Sydney Mechanics Institute in 1843. In 1878, this became the Sydney Technical College.
