Cloakware Names Stan Woo Vice President, Asia Pacific.

VIENNA, Va. -- Cloakware Inc., the security solutions provider that makes security inseparable from software, today announced the addition of Stan Woo as vice president of Asia Pacific. Based in California, Woo will open a key sales territory for Cloakware Security Suite, Cloakware Robustness Solutions and Cloakware Server Password Manager (CSPM).

Cloakware's expansion into the Asia Pacific market builds upon the company's current success both in North America and across Europe. The world's leading manufacturers of PCs, portable devices, mobile phones and set-top boxes - including four of the top five mobile phone manufacturers and two of the world's largest software companies - have deployed Cloakware's self-defending software security and DRM-hardening solutions on more than 500 million devices.

Woo brings to Cloakware 20 years of sales, business development, marketing and engineering experience in both start-up as well as established high-tech companies. Prior to joining Cloakware, Woo served as vice president of sales and business development at MontaVista Software, responsible for developing relationships with major consumer electronics brands, OEMs, and leading mobile operators. He grew the company's Asia Pacific sales from negative growth to $14 million. Before that, Woo was vice president of sales and business development for client products at Openwave Systems, successfully licensing the company's microbrowser to over 50 handset manufacturers while building the venture from infancy to a $70 million highly profitable business. Woo also held key roles and senior positions in engineering and marketing over an 11 year tenure at Sun Microsystems.

Woo holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley.
