Clinton to step aside for Obama; ELECTION.


HILLARY Clinton yesterday vowed to back Barack Obama as she finally bowed out of the race for President.

She told supporters in an email: "I will be speaking on Saturday about how together we can rally the party behind Senator Obama.

"The stakes are too high and the task before us too important to do otherwise."

Her supporters are pushing for her to be the Democratic vice presidential candidate.
