Clinton man caught in drug raid.

CLINTON - A View Street man with previous drug offenses was arrested by the North Worcester County Worcester County is the name of several counties in the United States of America:

 a police report, members of the task force, along with the Worcester County Sheriff's K-9 unit, and Clinton Police went with an arrest warrant to the home of Nicholas J. Freel, 26, 8 View St.

Freel, who did not answer the door when the officers knocked, encountered police in his bedroom. He allegedly slammed the bedroom door, hitting an officer in the face, resulting in a bruise. It took several officers to subdue sub·due

Task Force members, with the help of "Rusty," a police dog, then searched the house.

The dog alerted officers to odors of narcotics narcotics n. 1) techinically, drugs which dull the senses. 2) a popular generic term for drugs which cannot be legally possessed, sold, or transported except for medicinal uses for which a physician or dentist's prescription is required.  in several areas. Discovered were approximately 10 grams of cocaine which were individually packaged as if for distribution, four plastic bags of marijuana, 15 Percocet pills, scales and other paraphernalia associated with the distribution of drugs. Police also found a stun gun stun gun, hand-held electronic device that produces a high-voltage pulse that can immobilize a person for several minutes with no permanent damage in most cases. , and $435 in cash.

Freel was arraigned Monday in Clinton District Court and ordered held on $5,000 cash bail, with his case continued to Aug. 4.

Clinton Police said he has other pending drug charges, including one in which officers allegedly found approximately 40 grams of cocaine in his possession.
