Clinton couple may have award-winning love story.

 - It is a love story that could earn a local couple a free wedding.

Jennifer-lynn Wagner and Carl Ball, of Clinton, are finalists to win the wedding of their dreams - free - at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel in Leominster Leominster (lĕm`ĭnstər), city (1990 pop. 38,145), Worcester co., N central Mass.; set off from Lancaster 1740, inc. as a city 1915. , as part of a promotion the hotel is running for its 20th anniversary.

To come this far, the couple submitted a 10-minute video, talking about their romantic love store.

"Carl and I met when I was 19. He is actually five years older than me," Wagner said. "My best friend (Nicole Lindberg) and one of his best friends (Shawn Chouinard) are brother and sister. So, I remembered him from when we were kids and I actually had a crush crush

 on him. He used to pull Nicole's and my hair. He didn't remember me.

"We met at a club in Worcester and knew we were both from the same town. He was such a gentleman; he held my coat the whole night. So, I actually called him after that night to ask if he wanted to go out. It was the best phone call I ever made," Wagner said. "We have now been together for more than nine years. Carl asked me to marry him this past Dec.13, 2008, at Cape Cod Cape Cod, narrow peninsula of glacial origin, 399 sq mi (1,033 sq km), SE Mass., extending 65 mi (105 km) E and N into the Atlantic Ocean. It is generally flat, with sand dunes, low hills, and numerous lakes. ."

The couple set a wedding date of Dec. 4, 2009, their 10th anniversary of dating.

"We are paying for the entire wedding ourselves and are on a very tight budget. As we are a young couple that owns our own home and has for the last four years," Wagner said.

Her cousin, Erin Tierney, called and told her she saw this contest online.

"We were so stressed out as to how we would be able to afford the kind of wedding we wanted with the large amount of people we had on our list," Wagner said. "We are both Clintonians and have lived here our entire lives and we have huge families. So, when were heard about this we thought why not give it a shot."

As part of the contest, the wedding must take place on Dec. 13.

"When I heard of this date and realized that it was the exact day we got engaged, I thought this contest was made for us," Wagner said.

Wagner urged people to go to the Web site, www.leominsterweddings.com, to vote before the deadline.

"You will see our picture and the other couple; you click "to vote" you check our names and enter your e-mail address See Internet address.
