Clinton Cultural Council seeks funding proposals.


CLINTON - The Clinton Cultural Arts Council An arts council is a government or private, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts mainly by funding local artists, awarding prizes, and organizing events at home and abroad.  has set Oct. 15 as the deadline for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support cultural activities in the community.

These grants can support a variety of artistic projects and activities in Clinton including exhibits, festivals, short-term artist residencies An artist residency is a program where artists are given space to live or work for some time at reduced or no cost. Residency programs often give access to tools, and offer the chance to meet and work with notable artists, curators, writers, and theorists. , performances in schools, workshops and lectures.

The Clinton Cultural Council is a part of a grass-roots network of 329 local councils that serve every city and town in the state. The state legislature A state legislature may refer to a legislative branch or body of a political subdivision in a federal system.

The following legislatures exist in the following political subdivisions:
