) announced today that Clint Hailey has been named vice president, national managed care accounts. He is based in Dallas and reports to Robert Yungk, senior vice president, managed care.

Hailey, 41, is a lawyer who has focused his career on building relationships and negotiating with managed care payors. He joined Tenet from his position as vice president, managed care, of HCA HCA,

 Texas, part of HCA-Hospital Corporation of America. In that job, he was responsible for developing and implementing managed care strategy for HCA's 34 facilities in Texas.

At Tenet, Hailey will be responsible for managing Tenet's relationship with large managed care companies that represent about 50 percent of Tenet's commercial managed care revenues.

Hailey has served as a managed care executive for HCA in Texas since 1998. Previously, he served in various managed care contracting and other positions with Texas Health Resources in Dallas from 1993 to 1998. From 1991 to 1993, he was a staff associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol .

He holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in business administration from Texas Christian University Texas Christian University, at Fort Worth; Christian Church (Disciples of Christ); coeducational; opened 1873 at Thorp Spring, chartered 1874 as Add Ran Male and Female College. It assumed its present name in 1902 and moved to Fort Worth in 1910.  and a law degree from Texas Wesleyan University History
The university opened in 1890. The college became a woman's university in 1914 but was forced to become coeducational in 1934 due to financial problems from the Great Depression.
