Clinique Names First Global Marketing Chief 32-Year Veteran Eunice Valdivia Earns Spot.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2001

William P. Lauder William Lauder became President and Chief Executive Officer of The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. on July 1, 2004. The Estée Lauder Companies is recognized as a global premium consumer goods company by the investment community and is one of the world's leading manufacturers and , Group President, The Estee Lauder Companies Inc. and President, Clinique, today announced that Eunice Valdivia has been named Executive Vice President, Global Marketing and Finance, Clinique, effective July 1. This appointment marks the first time Clinique has had a global marketing executive and follows last week's announcement of a global Clinique organization headed by Mr. Lauder.

Ms. Valdivia is widely credited for developing the marketing infrastructure and innovative programs that have helped establish Clinique as the number one brand in the U.S.
