Clinical Data Launches Excyte 20 Automated ESR Analyzer at AACC 2006 Annual Meeting and Clinical Lab Exposition.

NEWTON, Mass. -- Clinical Data, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLDA), a worldwide leader in providing comprehensive molecular and pharmacogenomics services as well as clinical diagnostics to improve patient care, announced today that its Vital Diagnostics(TM) division has launched the Excyte(TM) 20 Automated ESR analyzer in the United States and will be attending the AACC 2006 Annual Meeting and Clinical Lab Exposition where it intends to unveil the product. The Vital Diagnostics(TM) (including Vital Scientific and Electalab) and PGxHealth(TM) divisions will operate booth #2063 at the AACC to be held from July 23-27 in Chicago. This also marks the first participation by the PGxHealth division of Clinical Data at the AACC.

The Excyte 20 random-access ESR analyzer performs up to 80 sed rate tests per hour providing high-throughput automated ESR testing and offers a unique combination of features unavailable in any other ESR analyzer on the market. The new analyzer provides an all-in-one solution for ESR that streamlines workflow by reducing manual labor and increasing walk away time. The Excyte 20 also features onboard mixing, integrated scanning and printing, patient results archive, and onboard quality control. As part of the Excyte ESR product line, the Excyte 20 also offers positive patient identification through all stages of testing utilizing the patented Excyte Slider technology and direct draw vacuum tubes that increases safety by limiting exposure to blood.
