VWR to Promote Cogenics' DNA Sequencing Services in Europe Provided by Lark and Genome Express Subsidiaries; Agreement to Leverage VWR's 400+ Person European Sales Personnel Network

NEWTON, Mass. & WEST CHESTER, Pa. -- Clinical Data, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLDA) and VWR International, Inc. today announced a strategic alliance to utilize VWR's comprehensive sales network to generate qualified leads for DNA sequencing services for Clinical Data's Cogenics Division, including Lark and Genome Express, in Europe's industrial and academic bioresearch markets. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The multi-year agreement gives Cogenics access to VWR's 400-plus sales representatives and 20-plus VWR BioScience Managers throughout Europe to promote Cogenics' DNA sequencing services and to identify qualified customer leads. Cogenics provides a wide range of DNA sequencing services which are performed within its custom laboratories at Lark Technologies near Cambridge, UK and Genome Express in Grenoble, France, to service its European customer base of pharmaceutical, biotech, academic, government and agricultural clients.
