CliniShare offers cardiac home services.

CHATSWORTH, Calif.--(HealthWire)--July 6, 1995--CliniShare, one of California's fastest-growing home-health-care companies, is now offering cardiac home services to Chatsworth and Pasadena residents to provide advanced home management of chronic diseases such as congestive heart failure (CHF) and related cardiac conditions.

CHF is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases in the nation. Currently, there are 3.5 million CHF patients in the United States, and more than 400,000 new cases are reported annually. The elderly are especially at risk, as CHF is the most common medical discharge diagnosis for patients over the age of 65.

CliniShare's cardiac-home-treatment program also includes comprehensive case-management coordination; around-the-clock availability of both clinical pharmacists and cardiac nurses; 24-hour-a-day, state-of-the-art transtelephonic EKG monitoring system; and in-home training for both patients and family members.

Blomstrom noted that CliniShare will soon be offering cardiac home services to patients in Santa Monica, Long Beach and Orange County.

CliniShare, which provides both pre- and post-hospital technologies and services, is owned by UniHealth.
