However, Clijsters made light of her recent lack of competitive action - she contested events in Cincinnati and Toronto before the season's final Slam - by flooring Venus and Serena Williams Serena Jameka Williams, (born September 26, 1981) is an American former World No. 1 ranked female tennis player who has won eight Grand Slam singles titles and an Olympic gold medal in women's doubles.[1].  on the way to the final where she saw off Caroline Wozniacki Caroline Wozniacki (born July 11, 1990, Odense) is a Danish tennis player.  7-5 6-3. Earlier this year, after announcing her intention to return to big-time tennis, Clijsters had been 8-11 with Stan James to win just one run-of-the-mill event in 2010.

Clijsters, 7-1 to win Wimbledon next year, said: "I was still nervous at the end against Caroline, but winning my first US Open in 2005 definitely helped me."

Clijsters is 8-13 with Ladbrokes not to win a Grand Slam tournament next year, although she is 5-6 elsewhere to be Slam-less.

The 26-year-old is 200-1 to win all four Slams - a laughable price considering she has never won the Australian and French Opens or Wimbledon and is not even certain to devote herself to tennis next year.

Heather Watson, Britain's latest junior champ, is 6-1 with Coral to go on to triumph in a senior Grand Slam singles event.

The 17-year-old's results on the way to lifting the US Open girls' crown on Sunday were excellent, but Boylesports are giving nothing away in their roster of specials. Juan Martin Del Potro was trimmed from 3-1 to 11-4 to end five-time US Open winner Roger Federer's reign as champion prior to last night's men's final.

In Quebec today, there is value to be had in backing Bethanie Mattek-Sands to make a winning start.

Mattek-Sands is better than her pre-Bell Challenge ranking of 124th suggests and the American Fed Cupper should be keen to justify the wild-card she was granted with a decent display against Varvara Lepchenko. Boylesports - H Watson specials: 5-2 win young Sports Personality of the Year 2009, 3 become doubles partners with L Robson, 16 win a Grand Slam tournament by end of 2014, 66 win Wimbledon by end of 2014, 66 face Robson in Grand Slam final by end of 2014, 66 win a Grand Slam doubles title with Robson, 80 play against Robson in a senior Grand Slam in 2011.

Coral: 6 H Watson to win a Grand Slam. Hills - H Watson specials: 5-6 get further than L Robson at Wimbledon 2010 (5-6 not to); 7 win a Grand Slam by end of 2020. Ladbrokes - Clijsters Grand Slam wins in 2010: 8-13 none, 2 one, 7 two, 33 three, 200 all four; 5 to win 2010 US Open. To win a senior Grand Slam event first: 2-5 Robson, 7-4 Watson; 4 Watson to win a senior Grand Slam tournament.

Recommendation B Mattek-Sands 1pt 4-5 Betfred, Coral
