Clifton Named Film Roman's VP of TV.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2000

Sidney Clifton has been promoted to VP in charge of television for Film Roman Inc. (Nasdaq:ROMN), it was announced by John Hyde John Hyde may refer to:

, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of the company.

Clifton's responsibilities will be to oversee all television projects at Film Roman from their development to network and cable sales, as well as acquisition of literary projects for live action and animated production. She also will be making deals with actors, writers, directors and producers to create series and television features for the company.

In making the announcement, Hyde stated, "This promotion is our way of rewarding Sidney, who has been instrumental in helping us accomplish the success we have achieved in the television market place. Under her guidance, we have not only enhanced our position as one of the primary suppliers of animation programming but also have greatly expanded our presence in the live action field."

For the past year, Clifton has been Film Roman's director of Television Development, and before that, was the company's manager of Television Development. She joined the studio as its Development Coordinator. Prior to this, Clifton, who has a literary and writing background as a feature columnist for Exodus and Essence magazines, was executive assistant to the senior V.P. of Operations at Fox Sports Network.
