Clif Bar moves to 100-percent recycled cartons.

It takes its name from Erickson's father, Clifford. The company was originally started as Kali's Bakery, but has since changed its name to Clif Bar Inc.

Clif Bar Inc. annually produces more than 10 million caddies, each holding anywhere from 12 to 16 of its Luna, Clif Bar or Mojo Bar products. By moving to recycled paperboard caddies instead of caddies derived from virgin wood, the company will dramatically reduce its impact on the planet by saving an estimated 7,500 trees and conserving more than 3.3 million gallons of water a year, according to according to
