ClientSoft expands eXoro to include Business Owners Policy.

After successfully introducing its eXoro(TM) e-commerce system for life insurance earlier this year, ClientSoft(TM) today announced the newest solution in the eXoro family supporting the sales and administration of business owner policies (BOP) over the Internet.

eXoro BOP is a quick-to-market solution that offers a real-time, on-line interface for agents to a carrier's existing legacy systems. Designed to help increase business owner policy sales, eXoro BOP uses middleware technology to provide agents access to data on a carrier's mainframe or AS/400 system. The system can be up-and-running in a short period of time, without disruption to the backend systems.

"eXoro BOP gives insurance carriers and agents a competitive advantage allowing them to close sales faster while, reducing operating costs," said Hugh Raiford, Vice President of ClientSoft's eXoro division. "eXoro eliminates much of the agents' paperwork and data entry, saving them significant time and allowing them to spend more of their time selling and providing customer service."

The prototype for eXoro BOP was developed at Colorado Casualty, a Liberty Mutual Group company in the Rocky Mountain region. The project brought together ClientSoft's e-commerce technical expertise with Colorado Casualty's vision to grow its BOP business by making itself the carrier of choice among its 700 independent agents.

Ron Kienzle, Colorado Casualty's Vice President of Information Systems, said the initial response from agents has been enthusiastic. Agents are saying the system allows them to sell more policies faster, with less work and fewer hassles. "Agents love it," Kienzle said. "It's fast and they're finding it extremely easy."

ClientSoft, which has extensive expertise in legacy application integration for insurance industry companies, plans to roll out versions of eXoro for other insurance lines of business, in 2001.
