ITC Infotech Partners with ClientLogic to Provide Reliable,

High-Quality Offshore IT-Enabled Services

ClientLogic Corporation, the leading international provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) in the contact center and fulfillment industry, today announced the opening of a new, multi-channel customer contact center in Bangalore, India. Through the joint venture with ITC Infotech India Ltd.--a 100 percent subsidiary of ITC Ltd., which is among the top five private sector companies in India--ClientLogic is extending its global presence and widening its leadership position in the BPO industry.

The new contact center on ITC Infotech's 35-acre Bangalore, India, campus is another node in ClientLogic's global customer care network and answers the market's need for scalable, cost-effective customer care services of the highest quality. ClientLogic selected ITC Infotech as its partner based on the company's market leadership position in India, financial stability ($4 billion US), established high-speed communications and redundant data recovery operations. Together, ITC Infotech and ClientLogic plan to grow the current 450-seat contact center to 1,500 seats in 2003. ClientLogic will handle offshore customer care for three or more international Fortune 500 companies by the end of Q2, 2003.

"ClientLogic's joint venture with ITC Infotech is a key strategy for ClientLogic that provides our clients with a true, Best-In-Class offshore solution," said Mark Briggs, CEO of ClientLogic. "Both ClientLogic and ITC Infotech have a heritage of leadership and a strong desire to provide outsourced solutions that reduce the service costs of our clients, improve their customer retention and increase their revenue per customer. This new offshore center allows us to do that on a global basis."

Outsourcing business processes such as customer care, IT and IT-related services to offshore venues is becoming increasingly popular. According to McKinsey & Co., 203 of the top Fortune 1000 companies outsource IT and IT-related service business to India. A recent Gartner Dataquest survey of 917 companies found that 40% of respondents have more than $1 million earmarked for upcoming offshore service initiatives, 70% of which will take place in India.

"Our joint venture with ClientLogic is a perfect blending of mutual expertise in people, process and technology," said Sanjay Verma, Managing Director of ITC Infotech India Ltd. "Together we will set a new standard for offshore customer care that bridges the cost-effective solutions today's companies demand and the high-quality care customers deserve. The ClientLogic-ITC Infotech Joint Venture is expected to grow into one of the largest IT enabled services (ITeS) businesses in India."
