ClientLogic Acquisition Sustains Planned Growth for Contact Centers.

ClientLogic Corporation, a leader in customer management services, has acquired the TeleServices division of Associates Commerce Solutions, Inc. (ACS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Associates First Capital Corporation ("The Associates," NYSE: AFS). The Associates received ClientLogic equity as payment for the TeleServices business.

ClientLogic will assume operational responsibility for the ACS Asheville, NC, call center that employs approximately 430 individuals. ACS's TeleServices division will immediately assume the ClientLogic name and branding. Approximately 350 TeleServices employees in the Gray, TN, facility will be reassigned to support existing ACS clients and The Associates auto club.

The acquisition continues ClientLogic's strategic plan to grow operations and enhance customer contact management solutions to its global clients. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The Asheville, NC, facility brings ClientLogic's worldwide facilities total to 46. The agreement will add approximately 430 employees to ClientLogic's more than 8,000 staff members. TeleServices' Ruth O'Brien will join ClientLogic's team as an officer of the Solution Delivery Group.
