The ClienTerm device integrates state-of-the-art thin-client technology into a keyboard, making thin-client/server computing more streamlined and more affordable. The ClienTerm keyboard incorporates Citrix Systems Inc. Key Tronic and ClienTec are the first to offer keyboards that utilize Citrix's ICA thin-client/server technology. The ClienTerm keyboard contains all the necessary ports and connections needed for thin-client/server computing when used in conjunction with Citrix MetaFrame or WinFrame thin-client/server software. The combination of these products eliminates the need for a separate terminal enclosure, which saves cost and desktop space.

By integrating terminal functions into the keyboard, Key Tronic and ClienTec have delivered an innovative solution that has strategic reach in the enterprise. Numerous meetings with major system integrators and resellers have confirmed ClienTerm's acceptance in the market due to price, "zero-footprint", and speed of operation.

The ClienTerm keyboard is offered in a version that supports the industry standard 10BaseT network connection, as well as a version with an integrated modem to support remote public switched telephone network access to a server. In addition to the PS2 mouse, video monitor, RJ45 or RJ11 network interfaces and DC power, connectors built into the keyboard allow for the attachment of most peripheral devices via a parallel port and a serial port.
