ClickSoftware (Nasdaq:CKSW), a leading provider of service chain optimization solutions for service organizations, has announced a partnership with Wessendorf Software + Consulting GmbH, which specializes in the integration and distribution of complementary software components.

According to the terms of the partnership, Wessendorf, an official development partner of SAP, will be ClickSoftware's exclusive vendor to provide a generic interface between ClickSchedule, ClickSoftware's award winning optimized service scheduling product, and SAP R/3. Wessendorf must also ensure that the interface is certified, maintained, fully documented and supported with future versions of SAP R/3.

ClickSchedule enables SAP customers to optimize the performance of their field service engineers and service operation. ClickSchedule is uniquely suited to act as the field service optimization tool for R/3 because it is XML based and allows a very flexible mapping of R/3 and ClickSchedule fields. Assignments are transferred to R/3 and stored in preset data structures. This information can also be used to send the order to a mobile device. The interface is available for R/3 4.6C (downgradable to R/3 4.0).
