The College Survival Kits - containing school and dorm room supplies, a book bag, linens, personal items, food, and more - were made possible thanks to generous contributions from Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., Coleman Spohn, Doan Pyramid Solutions, and the Brookpark KMart store. "It is a great thing to see members of the public and private sector and nonprofits come together to provide the children of our community with essential items needed to be successful in college," said Jeffery Patterson, deputy executive director of CMHA. The activities commenced with a presentation at 5pm at Lincoln-West High School Lincoln-West High School is located in Cleveland, Ohio. It is part of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. The current school building was built in 1970. Students retrieved their College Survival Kits at Lincoln-West until 6pm and, later that evening, at the newly renovated John Hay High School John Hay High School is a public high school located in Cleveland, Ohio. John Hay is part of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, with grade levels including 9th through 12th. until 8pm. "This event was part of CSP's ongoing effort to better prepare students as they begin their postsecondary journeys, and equip them with both the support and supplies essential to starting on the right foot in college," said Tina Milano.
