Clement Chen Named Vice President for Business Development and Strategy for LMGT; Will Shape Company's 'Go-to Market' Strategy For Infocom Marketplace.

BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 2001

Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications (LMGT LMGT Lockeed Martin Global Telecommunications ) has named Clement Chen as vice president for business development and strategy.

Chen will lead the development and implementation of LMGT's markets strategy in the emerging Infocom industry.

"Clement Chen has outstanding industry credentials and the sound leadership experience necessary to continue the transition of LMGT as partner of choice in the emerging Infocom market place," said John V. Sponyoe, LMGT chief executive officer. "He will play a critical role in focusing LMGT's global business strategy, as we develop and market secure networking and communications solutions and applications to meet our enterprise customers needs."

Chen most recently served as the head of business development and strategic alliances for SAGA Software, Inc. There, he guided SAGA's joint venture activities with leading application server companies, business-to-business (B2B (Business to Business) Refers to one business communicating with or selling to another. Prior to that Chen served as program executive and director of strategic planning and development for Lockheed Martin Corporation, where he led the corporation's integration efforts in converging telecommunications and information technology, e-commerce, Internet services, and information security services for commercial and government customers. He also worked as a senior financial analyst for International Business Machines Corporation.

Chen is a 1984 graduate of the United States Naval Academy United States Naval Academy, at Annapolis, Md.; for training young men and women to be officers of the U.S. navy or marine corps.
