"This is the third unregulated plant Cleco has brought on-line in the last four years," said Darrell Dubroc, executive vice president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

of Cleco Midstream Resources LLC, Cleco's wholesale energy subsidiary. "We have completed a disciplined growth schedule, producing three solid assets that are available to serve the future electricity needs of Louisiana CODE, OF LOUISIANA. In 1822, Peter Derbigny, Edward Livingston, and Moreau Lislet, were selected by the legislature to revise and amend the civil code, and to add to it such laws still in force as were not included therein.  and the region."

Construction of the plant began in July 2000 and was completed in time to meet peak summertime demand.

Dubroc added, "This generation facility is considered state of the art with regard to both energy efficiency and environmental protection, and we believe it will provide some of the cleanest, most-reliable power available."

The Acadia Power Project will operate natural gas-fired combustion turbines and heat recovery steam generators. This combined-cycle facility is up to 40 percent more efficient than older technology gas-fired plants. Combined-cycle technology recycles heat from combustion turbines to turn steam turbines, increasing the amount of power produced while reducing the amount of fuel burned.

The plant's total capacity has been sold through two long-term power sales agreements.
