Clearswift Supplies CS e-Sweeper to Equinox for the London Grid for Learning; Managing and Securing E-mail for 1 Million London Students.

Clearswift, the world's leading provider of software for managing and securing electronic communications, today announced that service provider Equinox equinox (ē`kwĭnŏks), either of two points on the celestial sphere where the ecliptic and the celestial equator intersect. CS e-Sweeper will analyze incoming and outgoing e-mail, allowing schools, colleges and universities in the London area to implement management and security policies to block inappropriate e-mails and comply with legal requirements. The London Grid for Learning (LGfL) is a project to provide a Broadband Internet connection to all of London's schools. All 33 Local Education Authorities (LEAs) in London are participating in LGfL. The Broadband network has a 19.2Gbps core bandwidth spanning two major core nodes, each configured with 160Gbps switching capacity, going out to schools and to potentially a wide range of other education and local government sites, either via direct connects at 2, 10 & 100mbps or via LEA WAN centres connected at 100mbps to the core.
