Clearswift Announces Global Managed Services Agreement with ONI Communications, a Leading Portuguese Communication Solutions Provider.

ONI Business Customers to Receive Hosted Security Applications from Leading Vendor

LONDON -- Clearswift, the UK-based information security firm, has signed an agreement with Portuguese Communications Solutions Provider, ONI, to offer its web and internet security solutions as hosted appliances to ONI's business customers.

ONI, which is one of Portugal's technology companies of reference, and the second biggest B2B telecommunications wireless provider in the country, will offer Clearswift's products as a service to its business customers, providing best-of-breed email and web protection.

ONI's customers will be able to choose email security (which includes antivirus, antispam and data loss prevention) and/or web security (antivirus, antispyware, URL filtering and web 2.0 security as well as data loss prevention). In both cases, customers will be able to choose standard or advanced packages; the latter allows the customer to define their own policies on their own virtual management appliance. The service is run on the ONI data centre as virtual appliances for VMware.
