 process has been introduced by Nordson Corporation, Norcross, GA, as reported in the October 1993 Nonwovens News section Of NONWOVENS INDUSTRY. However, as a result of confusion surrounding the system, Nordson has issued the following statement: "The Porous Coat process was developed and patented by Nordson to apply discrete, random patterns of hot melt adhesive for coating or lamination lamination

a laminar structure or arrangement.
. The process is not limited to a single adhesive ... and can be used to apply PSA's, EVA's, polyamide polyamide

material used in the creation of nonabsorbable, synthetic, nylon sutures.
 and polyester resins Polyester Resin - Unsaturated Polyester Resin. The term generally used for unsaturated (means containing chemical double bonds) resins formed by the reaction of dibasic organic acids and polyhydric alcohols, basic component of SMC/BMC.  as well as reactive polyurethanes."
